We are currently recruiting for talented individuals for the following positions in our Regina office:

  • Registered (Canadian) Architect - Minimum 7 - 10 years Canadian experience

  • Structural Engineer P.Eng. - Minimum 10 years Canadian experience

  • Intermediate & Senior Architectural Technologists - Minimum 5 - 10 years Canadian experience

  • Intermediate & Senior Structural Technologists - Minimum 5 - 10 years Canadian experience


We are currently seeking Intermediate and Senior Architectural Technologists to join the team. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Using ACAD, LT, ADT, and in concert with other team members, develop and prepare working drawings suitable for tender.
  • Interpreting concept sketches and generating design development drawings and details.
  • Communicating with other professional consultants and coordinating architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines.
  • Coordinating drawings with specifications.
  • Preparing detailed drawings from field measurement.

Requirements: A Diploma in Architectural Technology (or related Degree/Diploma) along with 3 to 8 years of experience. Proficient AutoCAD skills are required and knowledge of VectorWorks would be an asset.


STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

Primary Function:
Production of all structural work associated with the alteration of existing buildings or the building of new buildings; work includes coordination and implementation of site research, programming and design work, client consultation, developing working drawings, project management and field inspection.

Work to be Performed:
1. Research and investigate selected sites for new construction and incorporate into data for architectural programs and design considerations. Research existing physical areas to be altered, taking necessary measurements and accumulate information on as-built conditions to assist in the design of the project.
1.1. Under the direction of the structural engineering maintain close liaison with user/client to develop a scope of work and a program based on functional requirements.
1.2 Perform preliminary design work and design development prior to preparation of working drawings. Insure that elements of governing building codes and zoning ordinances are incorporated into design.
1.3 Prepare working drawings and/or construction documents. Need to be well versed in use of AutoCAD program.
2. Work closely with engineering and architectural staff to coordinate the design of projects.
3. Conduct periodic on-site observations of field work, done in coordination with Facilities Maintenance staff or outside contractor staff during the construction of all projects.
4. Write specifications; prepare business and technical writings.
5. Read or review current product literature and periodicals to maintain familiarity with latest developments in products and technologies pertinent to current or upcoming projects.
6. Work with product sales representatives to increase knowledge of particular products being considered for use on a project.

Supervision to be Exercised:
When serving as project manager, provide supervision and directions to other technical staff as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum
1. In depth knowledge of construction detailing and specifications, working knowledge of national, provincial and local building and zoning codes.
2. Basic knowledge of architectural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC engineering.
3. Ability to shift from project to project without loss of accuracy or time, delegate and administer project tasks, work independently and work with a variety of individuals and committees.
4. Technical Diploma plus four to five year varied structural and construction experience.

Preferred:
1. Knowledge of contract administration principles.
2. Graduate with Technical Diploma.
3. Competent in use of ACAD program.

REGISTERED ARCHITECT

9. Read or review current product literature and periodicals to maintain familiarity with latest developments in products and technologies pertinent to current or upcoming projects.
10. Work with product sales representatives to increase knowledge of particular products being considered for use on a project.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned, including sitting on or chairing foundation committees and attending seminars and other education development programs.
12. Marked Development
Prepare proposals in response to Request for Proposals.

13. Development of new clients.

Qualifications:

Minimum
1. Schematic design/design development, in depth knowledge of construction detailing and specifications, working knowledge of national, provincial and local building and zoning codes.
2. Basic knowledge of architectural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC engineering.
3. Ability to shift from project to project without loss of accuracy or time, delegate and administer project tasks, work independently and work with a variety of individuals and committees.
4. Bachelor’s of Architecture degree plus four to five year varied architectural and construction experience; eligible for registration within Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
5. Competent in use of ACAD program.

Preferred
1. Graduate Degree in Architecture, Canadian.
2. Currently registered or eligible for registration with Provincial Association of Architects – Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
